Scratch built Space: 1999 props?

Also I'd point out that the "lab pod" Eagle appears in the First season as well ("The Guardian of Piri" and "The Last Enemy" that I can recall off the top, perhaps others).

Joining in on the necro posting.

I have these props, and I cannot for the life of me remember who made them. They're not dead-on screen accurate, but they sure are nice.

Those are DEFINITELY the Iconic Replicas versions (Ex Product Enterprise and now Sixteen12 Collactables) which were limited to a individually numbered run of 1000 units.

Sorry, I did not know the BLUEPRINTS were inacurate. I actually like the watergun design better than the prop in the screen caps. Attached are some other Space 1999 Weapons.

I designed an ADVANCED Space 1999 Pistol for a unique prop. Never finished the prop.

What do you think?

Man I LOVE that advanced version! I think I'll try to build that one day, if you don't mind, that is.

Fantastic!

Cheers,

Kevin

Kevin,

Feel free to build the ADVANCED version!

I like something familiar yet different. I like some more offbeat props.

There are so many versions of some props - good and bad. I like acurate - but if everyone is building one and everyone has one - they don't need me to repeat it.

After I made the digital model I thought of a few more changes and tweeks. It should flow nicely, feel full sized and good in your hand, it should fit into a holster. It could be fitted with a targetting device for longer range - removable for short range.

I designed a digital model, based on the original blueprints from Space 1999. I added some BLING and came up with this design. IIt would be cool for Space 1999 Fans - a Unique model - and a GREAT prop show peice. I can use RHINO and print out blueprint views, top, side, bottom, front etc. that are easier to build from and send them to you. You can make your measurments from there. It was what I originally intended to do. I got distracted. The 3D model has not been refined - the edges are still sharp - but you can smooth out everthing for the prop to give it a more finished Space 1999 look. I made it as if the series could have been UPDATED - while keeping it true to the original design. I am glad you like it. I have sketches for a Rifle version - not based on the pistol design but an updated cannon 1999 Rifle.

You can email me directly so i don't miss a communication: Harada357@aol.com

But ... If you build it ... PLEASE share the build on the RPF forum. :love

Sounds great! I can't say when I'll start it, I have so many projects I want to finish and others I want to start, but maybe when I get to it, we can get someone to cast it up for a run. I can't cast, but it's a thought. I'll email you for the blueprints.

Thanks mate,

Cheers,

Kevin

Thanks Kevin, I will spin up RHINO and pull out the 1999 gun from the Archives. I am glad you like the design. I have too many projects to build this one. I just picked up one of Shawn Morgan's NOSTROMO Gun Kits, an LIS Pistol Kit from Steve, and working on a Moonraker Laser Rifle with another RPF member. I try to finish one at a time. It is hard to stay focused!! I made a few digital models. Space 1999 was only one of the Anderson Sci Fi Series - I also loved UFO.

Cool, I'll send you an email directly. Cool UFO ships! Not to stray too far from the topic but I do a bit of 3d modeling myself. Here are some Starship Trooper ships I made for a game mod. A fanon design of mine, the Shiloh/York from SST3, the Rodger Young from SST1 and the Valley Forge from the CGI animated series.

Kevin,

I emailed the 3DS file of the Adavanced SPACE 1999 Laser pistol. You should be able to open it and work with it in 3DSMAX. It was made in RHINO. Attached is a printout from the RHINO mesh work area. I am posting the pic on the forum. I would love to see it become a real prop!!!

Your 3D models are WAY COOL !!! I love the Valley Forge from the Animated series. Do you have the SPECS for that SHIP? I would love to take a peak at the BLUEPRINTS of the Valley Forge. I LOVED the design of the Valley Forge in the Animated series BETTER than the movie version. PM me with MORE pics please!!
