I'm still new to the RPF but i'll try my best at this thread.

I'm working on a scarlet spider costume, hoping to have it done for Halloween but i'm also going to wear it to the next comicon. I've always been a fan of spidey and wanted to make a costume of him. I thought of doing the original spidey suit but i realized that would be quite difficult for my first build. Instead I decided to make scarlet spider!:)

I stared off buying a plain red morphsuit. I found the neck of it didn't fit right so i cut it off and bought a separate mask from the same company.

For the sweater i simply went to value village and bought one for around 5$:))). I later cut off the sleeves and took off the pouch. I also gave it a slim fit and added a zipper to the side so it was easier to get in.

For the eyes and did a bunch of research and saw many versions of the frames being made from craft foam to urethane but ended up using a "premium anti-fatigue mat". I'm not sure what that means but it's basically a black foam/rubber sheet with the right thickness i needed to make the frames. i am also using that same material to make the spiders but i'm not sure if spray painting it would be better. As for the lenses i cut out a mesh from a old radio and i'm trying to bend and shape them to my head but i'm having a little trouble with that right now.

The webshooters will be made from wooden dowelings and put into a bracelet design so its easy to slip on. The ends will be rounded and they will then be spray painted silver.

The ankle pouches with made and sewn together with leatherette and will have cardboard inside to reinforce it. Not sure where to get the buckles but i've still got some time to find some.

The belt will be made from the same leatherette material and i'll have more dowelings around it. i'm still not sure what to make the belt buckle out of though.

So that's pretty much it for my costume. I'll put some more pictures up when i finish more of the stuff. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So I've been a little busy but here are the wooden dowelings, already cut and rounded. I also drilled holes through the middle of them and looped and elastic bands through them. The outcome is an awesome looking bracelet that can slip on easily.
