Yeah about those new batman gauntlets....they look a heck of a lot like Dave Nemeth's

Well thank goodness I found this thread! You guys are life savers! Any recommendations on TFA Cap helmets from members on here?

Glad we can help.
If you do a quick search, there is a lot of cap helmets available: kit, finished, resin, rubber...
Just all depends on your choice.

i spoke to dave nemeth funny thing is jim didn't recast them. but he did try to by them.

So then Jim is using someone else's photo?

Or he couldn't buy it directly from maker, so he bought it from someone selling one of the maker's pieces and still recast it. If he wants an item and the maker refuses to sell itto him, he will still get his hands on one.

no basiclly dave said these weren't recasted from his. "it doesn't have the ribbed material. they obviously were modeled off his but arent his

I really wish I would have researched this guy.
I met "Jim" or as I know him Bryan P., through my half brother who used to wrestle with him when he was in Orlando. I met him in person at MegaCon 2013 and my 5yo loved his Captain America suit.. I then messaged him over FB asking how much he would charge for a Deadpool suit dyed thing (forgive my lack of knowledge on terms) for my son. He quoted me $225, I paid him February 6th and sent him all the sizing info he should need. I waited and nothing. After MegaCon 2014 passed in March, which is the event I told him I wanted it for.. Nothing. Then after no word I messaged him on fb and he claimed it was an issue with his print guy, at this point he had some car issues and health issues. For some insane reasons my patience held and I waited another month with no responses to my messages. Then in May he said he would give me a refund. Then I heard nothing. So here I sit, still waiting for that refund. Feel like an idiot. Especially since he posts now about traveling everywhere doing events. Just hits my nerve. Thanks for letting me vent this here.

So tell me again why this guy hasn't been charged with mail fraud?

Because most people like to complain about the scam but never take action.
Jim knows this, is banking on it and is traveling around to conventions on your dime.... And probably laughing about it the whole time.
How this doesn't tick people off enough to band together and do something about it just blows my mind.

1. Call the police. If they say it is "a civil matter" and "we can't do anything about it". Try other options.
2. Contact a lawyer and everyone file one BIG lawsuit.
3. Contact Federal agents. Since local law enforcement won't do anything, the federal level most likely will. There is fraud across state lines and through Internet and Mail.
4. Don't give up at every sign of a road block.

He is counting on people being lazy when it comes to actions. He has done this enough for years to know most people give up thinking it will cost more to sue him. He can live with bad mouthing online and find new victims through changing his business name and alias over and over. He will never learn a lesson until he is penalized.
But for that to happen people need to actually step up.

Page 43.....I made it.

Man, I'm exhausted. That was a lot to read, but well worth it.

This Jim (whatever other names he uses) is bad news. I am sorry for all the folks that he burned. I'm confident that it will all catch up with him.

Thanks to RacerMachX for creating this thread to make it known to the community that this guy is bad news.

I hope he won't be at DragonCon, but he probably will be. I'll do my best not to throw up in my mouth a little if I see him there.

Anyway great thread, glad folks are stepping forward and trying to do something.

On a final note, has anyone thought of contacting a news station in his area to do one of those Investigative Reports? Just a thought. And I know there are a lot of consumer advocates on TV and the Radio that with all these complaints would probably do a piece about this guy. Clark Howard here in Atlanta talks about scams and con-artists on his show.

Might be worth looking into.

Oh and please all you wonderful talented folks, don't let this guy keep you from making, sharing, selling etc. It's not worth it, keep doing your thing everyone.

Brian P is probably his sidekick, Brian Pedrazzoli. I don't know about you, but unless its its my spouse, i would not let anyone use my paypal acct. I would have my suspicions that Brian is either a knowing or unknowing part of the scamming fraud.
Do not believe him regarding the refund. There are many victims who only received (if any) a tiny amount of what was stolen. He does this to stall and to make it looks like ( to any creditors claims) he is trying to refund the $.
Again from the previous post:
I know people who contacted their bank and credit co. ,
explained their situation and was refunded $ even months later.
Be persistence and elevate to a manager / supervisor if needed.
Hopefully you might get something back.

Enough of you use this and he goes down.

Trust me. It works.

I would if i could, but its the victims who need to take action. Or, someone with law enforcement / lawyer connection need to spearhead the effort to
gather all the victims into a large group effort. Its just difficult to take actions across state lines.

I do agree that people needs to continue their effort to get their $ back. And also to continue to spread the word about this scammer.
I do believe that he will continue to committed fraud. And, until he is in jail, he will not stop.

RacerMachX, what about my suggestion that folks that have been ripped off contact the TV News Investigative Report folk? And contact a consumer advocate?

Seriously these folks are there to go to bat for people that have been scammed. Again, just a thought.

Maybe there could be a simple website made for folks to "Add Their Story" and that site could be a central place that could be sent to these TV investigative report people and sent to the consumer advocates. Maybe even a FB page for this?

This is more than a recasting issue (RacerMachX I'm so sorry he ripped off your beautiful work man) it's now about people paying for a service and getting robbed. And this Jim guy needs to learn that you don't steal from your customers, let alone recasting others work. Plain and simple.

Just my 2 cents everyone.

There is an entire government agency dedicated to going after people that use the Internet to rip people off and yet no one uses it. I wonder why.

I totally get it. I totally understand where you are coming from.

But keep in mind that most of these folks probably don't know about that Agency.

Not sure if you are referring to my comment about getting the investigative reporters and consumer advocates involved as "create elaborate solutions"

I'm just trying to share ideas about a solution that may get some results. The TV and radio folks do have a far reach, more than any of us on this forum.

Pair that with a Agency that helps folks with Internet fraud and that could be powerful.

Again, just my two cents.
