Since I know your reading and mocking this Jim, ill put it here for you, you asked if your "fame" burns me, here's your answer:
You know what, it does burn me. It burns me terribly that someone so corrupt, so devoid of morals can get on top, can survive, can be successful. It burns me to watch someone screw over mass-amounts of people on a frequent basis and get away with it. It burns me to watch a criminal enjoy life with the rest of us when the only place he belongs is in prison. It burns me that myself and others have been honest, done the right thing and cleaned up your messes and worked extraordinarily hard to get to where were at and you just lied, stole and conned your way to where you're at. It's unfair. It's wrong. And it burns me.
But, that's politics. That's business, right? And there's no room for morals or ethics in business, right? No such thing as doing "the right thing" in politics. Only what will bring in money. And that's what really burns me most isn't it. That your name means money for people. That you are "famous" enough to some for them to swallow their morals for. That's what burns me most really, you rely on that, and in the end, you win, because deep down when it comes to people, all they see is dollar signs, and they lose all morals, they lose all ethics. In turn, they become just like you.
In the end, if I've learned one thing, it's this: There is no common decency anymore. No room for feelings. No such thing as ethics. Only money and cold-hard-reality. And that, Mr. Logan, that burns me most of all. You are the god-damned-devil and you count on people's lust for money or desire for materials to make your deal, you rely on their ignorance of your past to make a living.
But against the odds, despite everything and despite all the bull**** I will face for it, I still choose the hard path. I still choose my morals. I still will make the right choice. Because it's not really about me. It's about my legacy, SOMETHING YOU'LL NEVER HAVE. It's about the integrity I have and the example I set for others. And I will never stop, never give up. I WILL NEVER STOP FIGHTING PEOPLE LIKE YOU. In the morning, I can face myself. I can look myself in the mirror, something I know you'll never feel or ever experience.
I will never take the easy road. I will never become like you. More importantly, I will not ever go against my morals to make money or friends.
At the end of the day I can hold my head high. I have a family, and I am surrounded by people who love me and care about me. Can you say the same? You have everyone else fooled, but not me, I know you, AND IT BURNS YOU HOW WELL I KNOW YOU. If there is a thought that keeps you up at night, and we know there is, it's that you know I WILL NEVER GIVE UP. Each time you think you've beaten me you've only strengthened my resolve.
