I just want to link to it in the main post. I'm compiling as many stories from victims as possible!
I'll try to find it in a few minutes when I can access Twitter.

Other sites are starting to link to the blog too: http://www.themarysue.com/cosplay-scammer/
"Recasters are easily startled but they'll soon be back... And in greater numbers"holy **** did we do it??
Need to concentrate on my work and not sitting on FB all day distracted by idiocy....i will be back of course.
So, i understand that Winate is back and pounding his chest saying thanks for all the "new fans and project inquires".
I would advise that all his bravado be taken with a very large grain of salt, huge , actually.
Everyone knows that he is pathological. He will say any thing if it suits his purpose of antagonizing his victims.
Its all about misdirection and deflection.
So, let take for example, one of his latest instagram post:
View attachment 402359
quote"..
unless this is paid for or approved by the studio/company owning the character you are portraying for this "shoot"
I do not consider it "professional" end quote."
The only studio i know of with his work recently, is "Bat in the Sun studio." a minor shin and wrist brace.
Now, i may be wrong, but last i checked, they do not own the rights to Power Rangers or Street Fighters.
Maybe they asked for permission, and was granted.. I don't know.
Note: i am not trying to accuse "Bat in the Sun" of any illegal activities. I actually enjoy their work.
And still does not matter how many fans wanting commissions, per his statement, he will not make them for quote "insignificant cosplayer"
Of course that can be retracted like all his previous statements.
Again, his words are not true.
Also, he may have showed his hand as far as his next step in the scam scheme.
Quote"
I do have all my old patterns, but I am donating all of my molds to some friends getting into prop making.
This way I will also have access to them to make my personal items....."
I believe that he used something like this in his previous incarnation of "Outlaw Produx" or Sniktshop, i lost track.
The excuse then was "I'm just a worker here at the studio. Let me talk to my manager to see whats going on with your order."
Of course, it was only just him.
So, he can flash his $42 dollar and 50 cents all he wants on his instagram.
His followers, defending him: don't care.
1 less victim to his name : priceless
Came here from COSPLAY WARNING JIM LOGAN PROPS
Hi I came here from the article and saw your long thread mentioned in it. Not sure why the article poster lady kinda washed over my comment and then made the post saying, if you try to take action against the guy he is violent and who knows what he may do. Dude, ya'll are all over the US, he isn't coming to each and every one of your homes. I won't tell you how to run your life and what to do but at the same time, kinda. Sorry but everyone truly needs to gather up and send him to prison. It's possible. Do not be afraid of jerks like this. There is nothing that will come from contacting the BBB. You will more than likely never get a refund even in small claims court from a con artist like this. HOWEVER, there is hope and here is how. I leave for you my copy/pasted instructions same as I wrote on the article and same as I wrote on the I Like Comics Too facebook page. Here is what I posted-
Hi just want to inform you and any other people scammed by the guy that might see my comment. I am on facebook in a bunch of action figure trade groups. We(most members in the communities) don’t or haven’t been scammed half as much as it seems this guy has done to you and many others. So I’m a little surprised that most just turn him in to the Better Business Bureau. Well I’m here to tell you and the others, there is a better option. In fact probably THE BEST option for you guys. Report him for wire fraud, he will go to prison if you all report him and give all the evidence against him. Here is some info on the process as copy/pasted from a Toy Scammers Lookout page-
Resources to report fraud
If you or a member of your board has been cheated in a purchase or trade, these two links will help punish and potentially recover the stolen items from the ne’er-do-well.Internet fraud includes but is not limited to using the internet to arrange a transaction for the purposes of defrauding the other party. This is NOT the same as a package that can be proven was shipped but not delivered. It includes using a wire transfer service, such as Paypal, to collect payments for merchandise that the ‘seller’ has no intentions of shipping.Mail fraud is a federal offense where a party uses the United States Postal Service in order to collect merchandise through fraudulent dealing or uses the USPS as an unwitting accomplice in an effort to obtain merchandise through deceptive/fraudulent means. Do not forget that if you have a local deal that ends in fraud, your local law enforcement should be contacted as well.
For pursuing the use of the internet to steal or defraud people you should use this link:
