Saw reverse beartrap

I'm working on the reverse beartrap Amanda Young was caught in in the first Saw movie. I'm using styrene plastic for the main parts, and foam board and balsa wood for the parts that don't need to carry any weight or aren't subjected to any force (to save weight, after all I'll be wearing it on my head). It's the first time I used styrene plastic. Here's what it looks like so far:

I'll paint the different parts first and then put them together. The trap will be used at Elf Fantasy Fair in september, and afterwards it will make a nice prop for Halloween parties.

Here's a little update. It's almost finished, all I have to do is attach the gears to the side, and add some sort of padding so I can comfortably wear it on my head. And I did find a good method for creating a faux rust finish!

And it's finished! Here's a few pics of me wearing the mask. It's comfortable enough to wear, not too heavy and well balanced. If you check out my blog (link in my signature), you can read a full build log.
