Sauron helmet pep??

Ok so i'm having a few issues with this and wondering has anyone here made it before.. Im pretty new to peping but i've got the hang of it. Already made a few bits and pieces, but in the particular PDO file i have for the sauron helmet (most likely the same one other people have used) there's far to many open edges, as in edges that have nothing to stick to it so they just kind of rest on each other which is a pain in le bum bum!! If there's any one here who has made it before could they explain how to get all the pieces set in the right position and how they all fit together?
