Doing head first here is the progress. What do you think so far. His mandibles from the reference pics are super wide where you see his teeth, but I haven't included them yet and i may even get fake real teeth for them because they ate humanish.

Well here is a update. I have had to make the sculpt 3 times. First time the plaster was bad and never hardened!! 2nd time I didnt put enough on and it crumbled in my arms!!! I though 30 to 40 lbs was enough. Apparently not. The 3rd time it did ittttt!! Just waiting on latex to get first cast. Her are some pics. The sculpt without the teeth is the sculpt that I molded correctly and some of the pics are my misfortunes. Enjoy

The finished one is around 40lbs of clay on a mannequin head bust. And it was around 30 dollars

First pull from the mold. The teeth didnt come out at all and the lower mandibles didnt come out completely but all easy fixes. I am still super happy though.

Is the head made from the latex?? The mold is the outer part of your sculpture, right? When you open it you have to break it open?? Sorry, I have many questions about this process..

The head is latex. The mold is the plaster outer shell of the clay sculpture. You make a mold of two halves, so you can pry it apart.

Freaking AWESOME!!! this PREDATOR head looks beastly, haha. Really liking this a lot I could NEVER do anything like this!! I can't wait to see the DREADS on this thing, good job!

Tried it on with a dread idea. I definitely don't like the foam dowels. They are too stiff and not free flowing.

You are right they are too stiff and not to be disrespectful or anything but a bit cheap....Termokk is selling dreads for like 90$ (30 dreads) give him a shout ....
