Salacious crumb

Has anyone ever attempted to make an accurate Salacious Crumb? Has anyone seen an indepth visual on the making of one or any of the Rebo characters? What would the size on him be?
I would think hed be close to Yoda size.

I see a good looking one on uk ebay from time to time, i would imagine it would be around the same size as yoda, they are basically muppets so cant really be any longer than the length of your arm

Back in 2000 or 2001 there was someone on the boards that did a run of Salacious puppets. For the life of me I cant remember who it was but they were great and I really regret not getting one then. I have seen them pop up on ebay from time to time.

Maybe there are some older members with better memories of back then than I currently have that could chime in.

Hello,
I had a VERY NICE one that resides in the Dale Blank collection.
Perhaps he could share some pics.

Miss the ol'boy in my collection.

Is Salacious really a Lizard Monkey?
[/b]

Yeah, I think I found that in one "expanded universe" book.

There "are" molds for him right now, but I'm not really crazy about them. The originals wore out long ago, and Phil resculpted a whole new one a couple years ago. The new one looks like one of Crumb's species, but I think he's to big and hulking looking. Heh, kind of like Crumb's big thug of a brother Bruno or something... :D

If there's enough demand maybe we can do a re-accuraized one this summer sometime. :)

I was going to get on that first run until the price went up. VERY cool prop piece to have in the collection. If I could afford it I'd have one.

That was it. If enough interest could be had to figure a decent price on these I would be all about it. Sarge sure does some great work. Thanks to pat for remembering the info about this when I couldnt. :D

MR is more than qualified to make Salacious. They're already doing the Muppets, so why not him?
[/b]

That's actually a fantastic idea.

Actually, I wouldn't mind that at all. :) From what I remember of the original run, they were a royal pain to put together and caused us a LOT of grief...

Also, they have acces to much better resources and technology and could get them done a lot quicker and better.

Now I have absoluetly no knowledge of molds at all, so forgive my ignorance if this is a stupid question, but would it be possible for you to take a resin cast of just the SC head from the mold you already have for the latex? Reason I ask is because I've had a lot of bad experiences with latex props falling apart through natural disintegration. Plus it would be fun to have a blank head to paint up and mount as a trophy head.... So, could it be done Sarge?
