Question RPF staff - painting help please!! (answered)

Hi, this is a message for RPF staff members, please help! I am looking for some detailed information or tutorials about painting/spraying resin and resin gun/blaster replicas. How to achieve a realistic looking metal finish etc. I started a thread and got some good advice but I was told there is loads of info and tutorials on RPF and youtube but I can't find any? I have tried loads of different search terms and nothing specifically about painting/spraying resin blaster prop replicas comes up. Could you direct me to the right place or thread cos I'm new here and not having much luck! Cheers

I did a search for "metal paint finish" in the modelling section and came across many threads that talked about it. You're not going to find a thread titled "How to Paint a Metal Finish", you'll have to look through the threads of people who have built things that require that paint job and see how they did it that way.

I’ve been here a couple of years and as far as I can tell, the RPF staff are great people. But I am sure they have more pressing things to do then assist members with their research. The staff is not large and they each cover a lot of more pressing issues.
As its been suggested. You might try looking at the builds of people painting non-metal materials to make it look metal. Different countrys have different paint formulas, so someone in the UK would be better suited to helping you find the paint you need.
