Rover from New Adventures of Wonder Woman?

Hey, here's an obscure 1970's prop... the little robot "dog" from The New Adventures of Wonder Woman starring Lynda Carter. I think they called him "Rover".

Annoying as all get-out, but seemingly pretty simple to put together... we was all flat panels and LEDs. There was some acrylic tubing and a small dome on the top of his head and I think his "feet" were nothing but rollers/casters from an office chair on struts.

Just curious if anyone had attempted this one yet?

Wow that's a blast from the past. Only now you jog my memory do I remember really digging that thing. I remember making plenty of lego replicas, not sure they would stand up to any sort of critique though

Precisely why I feel sorry for Lyle Waggoner. In the World War II episodes, he got to be the in-story combat hero. When the show was modernized, his character ended up in an office. His role was simply to answer calls from Diana Prince, who had phoned to let him know that "something strange was going on." He would tell her to "be careful," and in some cases he would be allowed to storm in at the end of the episode with a bunch of federal agents (only to find that Wonder Woman had taken care of everything). He would ask what happened to Diana, and Wonder Woman would say, "Diana's fine. I got her out before the bomb went off. She went for Snapples."

Yup you can see the string almost all of the time.

I remember that - I think they came up with the idea trying to ape R2-D2 of Star Wars - it was from the last season of Wonder Woman I'm pretty sure '78-'79 after Star Wars ANH had come out.
