I see so many ANH troopers but I havent seen any ROTJ troopers with the trim around the torso armor. Lets see what youve got..

Here's my WIP.
So far I've been working on the strapping system, and I'm proud to say that it is strapped just like the originals were (don't ask I won't tell :lol ).
Still need to replace the shoulder bells, belt and hand guards.

The helmet was in pretty poor shape when I received it so a lot of work was done to it, so far I've trimmed the eyes more, re-painted the frown and vocoder, added accurate decals, mic tips, brow and neck trim.

Still needs green bubble lenses, star shaped yellow foam insert and weathering.

And here's my all metal ROTJ blaster based on a real MGC Sterling B)

I only have a helmet, no armour.

This is a styrene helmet, not fiberglass:

THose are pretty nice pictures, although I prefer the ANH versions and that's what my armor is.

Just to clarify, my helmet is also a styrene helmet and def NOT a fiberglass helmet :)

Awesome Keith, I love background ROTJ trooper helmets. :thumbsup

Your trooper looks great HDPE, is it a TE Jedi? (You hardly see any of them around).

Have you got plans to whiten him up somehow? it could be the photos but it looks like the plastic's yellowing. Or perhaps you're going to get him a packpack and pauldron then 'sandify' him?? :D

Hi Jeremy,

Yes that's a TE ROTJ.

You're absolutely right about the plastic yellowing, somehow I think it looks even more authentic that way so I'll probably keep it as is and find a way to 'age' the replacement parts I'll be getting.

Or perhaps you're going to get him a packpack and pauldron then 'sandify' him?? :D

but hummm, wait, that would make a crappy............... SE trooper, eeeeeekkkkkkkk :thumbsdown :thumbsdown :lol

No probs Keith :)

HDPE if that was my armor I would keep it just the way it is.Like you said it makes it look more authentic.I hope you can get the new parts to match.what happened to the original parts to the set?

Thanks buddy.
The parts are here, but I don't like them and need something more accurate.

I can see that I am not really well-versed in the RotJ helmets... are there different kinds? I know of the soft vinyly background masks used, but where there different regular styled helmets?

Yes definitely.

One style had typical ROTJ ear caps, wider metal mic tips (diff from hovi mix) a hard hat liner, black frown with rounder edges.....

The other style had normal ear caps, hovi mix mic tips, star shaped yellow foam and a slightly different frown.(see Keith' helmet)

Both types had green bubble lenses but I've seen the first type with flat lenses.

And other varitions such as the first style but with star shaped yellow foam instead of a hard hat liner......

Here's mine. Troopermaster armour - say no more :D

Helmet is a TE faceplate that was damaged really badly. I restored it and fixed it onto another cap/back and added ROTJ ears.

I also re-fibreglassed the mannequin to stand properly as most supplied mannequins are terrible poses.

Cheers Steve :)
