Okay so here's the deal. I've got my numbers together for casting costs so I'm able to finalize the pricing and take orders.

This option is more accurate but not as nice as jewelry is concerned because of the construction and material. This ring will be all brass, and brass isn't the nicest material to wear as it usually turns your finger green for most people. I've had yet another breakthrough and discovered that there's brass underneath the black coating of the iris. I'm now certain that what they did for the prop was brushed off the paint, attached a layer on top that looks like this. The bottom part will be solid metal too, brushed cast brass to match. I'll be able to bond these three parts together. This style is also going to be the same $195+shipping. This will be about size 8, which is (maybe I'll do both) which is likely what Rose wore, but is also available in other sizes by request.
I won't be offering a plastic version at this time.
I need to stress here that when you send me payment, you're pre-ordering a product which I'm then laying out a lot of time, effort, and expense to make happen. Mold making for metal is intense; especially for steel. If you PayPal me funds, I ask that you do it with the intent to not renege; not request refund just because you changed your mind, whatever the reason. I do this to keep my costs low and quality high. So please, treat this as a no flake zone, as @Rylo says. When you're ordering, you're committing.

Iris is the two layer one, with back blades removed!
In the film you can clearly see it opening with a () shape instead of a o shape, and that there is only one layer since you see the logo right away, not another set of blades and then the logo. The prop maker removed the back set of iris blades, which is extremely painful to do, but the right and accurate way to make this prop.
Here's the iris, and the screencaps showing that you can see the logo after the first set of blades. This is what's available in the $195 option.

Excited to share the second generation design prototype, functioning and better appearance! This is with the correct style aperture, and a high resolution 3D print. The plastic logo is now the right colors, and has been scaled up to the right size. The ring model shows better detail too, (but still needs some tweaking on the proportions and thicknesses of the details as Kylash pointed out) and we're basically there. It's a lot of work to get this together, and to get it together right and looking good. I'm very excited to make the metal version. The problem with this is that you can see the second set of blades, which I hadn't yet removed:
This is the rev 1 prototype. it has the incorrect central closing iris instead of the lip shaped one seen above in rev 2. This aperture is much less expensive to acquire, but for accuracy, the one shown above is correct. This is the style aperture included in the less expensive version

I'll be producing this in metal, and am super excited about it. Check the vid of the iris mechanism I picked up the other day, just so you get a feel for it. I know everyone will want one of these but it is pretty complicated to make and the cost will reflect that. Stay tuned here for updates! My ballpark is likely to be around $170 in metal, or $100 in plastic. With the accurate iris, it'll likely be about $30 more.
