Mary Madeinhell the shoulders were 6 pieces. The base layer I use 10mm eva foam, and cut my center strip with inward angled edges. Then on the side pieces I cut the L shape on one side and I cut the curve of my shoulder on the other, and on the curved side I cut to an inward angle as well. Once that was shaped and put together I just made the 4 overlay pieces out of 10mm (center) and 5 mm (sides) eva foam and glued them down in place. I textured it as explained above and painted it. Then attached an elastic strap to the inside. And it velcro to the hood once in place.
