If you still have an open spot for these, I'd be in for a full set![]()
Received the set today.
The Emerald is really nice clear green no flaws or anything it really catches the light! Matches the movie version very well has a deep vibrant green color, shape and size are also great. The map is a heavy-ish paper stock with some really nice attention to detail. It is pre-folded or creased? Not sure the term there. It also matches the movie I would say the scene in the derelict airplane the best. Easily folds with the creases into its revealing heart location and has in the missing section a burn edge that looks great.
Overall I was very impressed with both. Came well packaged the gem had plenty of padding and was in its own padded case.
Great Work Brenton!
Thanks
Rolinos
RelicMaker,
Let me say that, well, ...you rock brother!
This is absolutely one of the greatest looking prop replicas I've seen. Both the map and the crystal are perfect in every way. I received it early this week, but just opened it today. Now to come up with a display. Thanks much!![]()
Just found this thread. Can I get in on the map? These look great.
Picked up my set from the postal office. I was a bit afraid when I opened it, since I saw that the point of the stone punctured the black box it was in. I was afraid this would have damaged the point, but luckily it's not the case. Everything is in great shape. The tip of the emerald is not super sharp, but a very tiny bit stomped. I guess it's supposed to be that way an not a result of the stone puncturing the black box... Great set. Still don't know how to display these.
Thought so. Would have surprised me that cardboard is hard enough to stomp a crystal pointThe tip is not supposed to be needle sharp. All the remaining crystals I just checked have the same tip.
Well, it took less than a week to get from US to Australia, (then took two weeks to get around 100 miles). But it has arrived. sorry for the caps. IT"S F&*^ING INCREDIBLE. The map is amazing with the thickness of the paper through to the burnt off section and the fold working perfectly to mimic the one seen on film. You can believe that you are really holding the very map in your hands. It's the best reproduction of a map from a film that I have currently seen. The Stone. The 'El Corazon' is indescribable. This truly is a masterpiece. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone thinking of it, to stop thinking and get it. This set has to be the best reproduction of movie props outside of officially licensed merchandise, and personally I think that it beats most licensed gear hands down.
Brenton, you are a magician, a genius, a master artist and I cannot thank you enough for going back and doing these items again. Once I have finished re-arranging my movie prop collection, I will upload a photo showing it's new home. Again thank you so much, have loved that film since I was 7 years old and now it's even more special thanks to you.
