Roman Gladius [Gladiator]

Here's a roman sword I made years ago that was inspired by the movie Gladiator. Nothing fancy, just a sword. The blade is made of spring steel and the handle is made of poplar. I masked off the skinny part of the handle and stained the rest to give the two-tone effect. It has a full length tang. I never finished the scabbard...should get to that someday.

Thank you! I've seen some really ornate ones that I'd love to try my hand at. Maybe the emperor's sword?
