Rogue One Costumes Displays at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016

As revealed in the Star Wars Archaeology panel at Celebration 2016, this is the newer version (pre-weathering) of the Stormtrooper helmet made for the Rogue One. Changes from the original helmet include a cleaner, streamlined design, sharper indented frown, actual cut-out slots for the side and cheek vents as well as a separately molded vocoder.

You'll never beat the wonkiness of the original, but those changes all make sense for a modern 4K film.

My thoughts exactly. The OT Stormies will be always so iconic (and always my favorites), but it is understandable the wonky 70's armor cannot fit in a modern super HD movie.

Great photos Howlrunner. The studio scale ships from the OT look awesome. What's the story on those?

They are all replicas built using the same parts as the real studio ships. Can't honestly remember who it was (individual/club) that built them - they were all together on a fan stand. I imagine that it's one of our own RPF members from the Studio Scale section.

It was Guy Cowens work

Yourius,

spot-on regarding the shoretrooper pouches. I bought one of these off FleaBay last year to mod into a sandtrooper pouch - cut it down and resewed it. I then noted that the supplier - ex-military store - sold out in one hit overnight. It may just be possible that the production bought-up all the pouches - there were tens of them, and then all gone?

Thanks for sharing! I'm hoping someone can get some Jyn detail without that awful glass glare.

Really difficult - i am looking through my pics to see what may be helpful.

Anyone have any ideas on the parts for the stormtrooper backpack? Looks like a fun upgrade from a standard TK.

The top component looks to be a commercial plant pot holder - the sort found at garden centres and horticulturists?

You could clearly see that vents are now actually cut / slotted. The cheek vent appears to be a 3D printed insert and also the front top trapezoid

The rear trapeziod also appears to be 3D print with actual slots, and the ear detail is completely different to any of the previous original trilogy versions,

For those that are interested you can find my pics at:

and Shoretroopers:

I'll sort and post up Deathtroopers soon if that is helpful. Also have the Rebel costumes and Crenick if folks would like to see those, but they were behind glass and more difficult to get useful reference pics of.

Anyway, hope these are useful.

Whilst we're on about the deathtrooper, does anyone know what they use for the elbow and knee joints? (And other areas of the costume)
