Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Pre-release)

Re: Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One

I'm still surprised the Prequel basher bandwagon hasn't jumped on the fact that John Knoll is on this movie.

Re: Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One

Why? They've trashed everyone involved including the modelers and designers who were doing the same thing.

Re: Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One

Really? Guess I missed it. I've increasingly found myself avoiding these type of threads for fear of being spoiled. Have to draw the line somewhere. lol!

Re: Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One

I can't see them having Yavin IV in this at all other than a location of the ANH Rebel base. It would make zero sense to have any combat there because that would mean the Empire knew all about it prior to ANH.

Re: Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One

I don't see why it'd be such a stretch. It was the location of the Rebel base so presumably our motley crew might operate from there at least at some point in the movie.

The way I rationalised it in my head, is the empire sent out a bunch of ships to look for the rebels, but the rebel base had a jammer up so the empire couldn't report back, and then the rebels had to kill every last one of them to make sure none of them could make it back off the planet to report back outside the jammer field.

If they pulled it off to the empire it would seem like one of their ships just went missing, presumably lost in an accident.

The massive kicker would be after two hours of solid fighting making sure the empire never finds the base, in flies the falcon with the tracker on board.

Yeah, it's probably along those lines.

Yeah, but if you're the Rebels you would have to operate on the assumption that your base has been compromised, jammer or not. You would evacuate on the chance that you didn't get all of the Stormtroopers, or whoever.

Re: Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One

Maybe they were just about to when the falcon rolled in with the death star not far behind.

He wasn't a bad guy on the shield, just an honest cop trying to bring down the "hero" bad ones.
