You are doing an awesome job and the paint job is amazing. Some of the parts that you have painted actually look like you made it out of metal. (y)cool:D

Thanks for that! :)

Yes I really wanted a beat up metal look and so happy the pieces have come out looking the way they have, the copper silver black parts were hard to do without an airbrush, I actually used all three spray paints to achieve this.

Here's some detail to the scope and bracket, I used plastic nuts then filled them with wood filler as metal screws would be too heavyImageUploadedByTapatalk1425486845.063326.jpg

Good thinking and I like the etching you did.

One of the larger pieces nearly done, little unhappy with certain areas so going to work them out. Getting close to assembly, I hope it all goes as planned! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425592631.491860.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1425592640.856241.jpg

Thanks ye I hope it looks ok, I used 5 different colours on that piece, black-brown-bronze-copper-antique gold. The photo kinda looks like there is a shadow and the light is hitting it but that's not the case it actually looks like the photo with the colour change :)

Still more painting/highlighting/weathering to be done but it's starting to come together ImageUploadedByTapatalk1425776864.531129.jpg

GOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!

Incredibly well done

Thanks :)

Here's a few more photos, got the steel pipe work in, it's stainless steel rods to try and make it look a bit more real, I'm starting to think the paint job was a bit too cartoony, would love to know what more people think :)

Thought I'd show off the king arts one which I wanted to replicate, although I hear hardly any comments I'm really happy :)ImageUploadedByTapatalk1426011087.966050.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1426011099.321489.jpg

Pretty amazing - looks like you captured every detail with the exception of the holes on the scope (which I think would be very difficult to make and have them spaced evenly).

Thanks! Ye the scope cover was a nightmare, I did print one with holes but the print warped, cracked Ect so it was really hard to achieve, my plan was to make a template then drill the holes but again I think it would crack unless it was 5mm thick but then that adds more weight and its heavy enough lol, I did want to just paint/sharpie pen the holes but I think it could ruin it so Ye I left that out for a reason but I might swap it out at some point if I can pull it off :)

That turned out great. Now you just need a 1:1 Rocket :)

Cheers glad you like it!! :) a 1:1 rocket would be fantastic ;)

When the time comes do you think you would be able to scale it to a 6 year old. Which may be a 1:1 actually. Lol

I am thinking about selling the 3D files soon :)

I need to go over all the files as there were a few pieces for the pipes Ect that I had to render myself so I'll try and find time to do this and then get a thread up.

I will post here with a link to it but out of curiosity, who would all be up for buying the files at a very fair price (under $100) if I was to sell them?

Again this is not an interest thread post, this is just for some feedback :)

That would be an awesome idea.

I also sent you an email since your PM box is full.

Thanks for letting me know., I've cleared it up :)

I'm currently heading to France on holiday but will return in about a weeks time to get this sorted as there seems to be a lot of good feedback for the files to be released so far.
