Robotnik's goggles, Sonic the Hedgehog movie

Hey, reposting this because I'm not sure I put it in the right forum the first time D:
Anybody got ideas on eggman's goggles in the Sonic movie? I contacted the propmaker and she told me they were modified welding goggles with carbon fiber vinyl stretched over them. Anybody recognize what product the base could be for these? The vinyl is easy enough to get but everything else has me stumped.

Any ideas are appreciated!

Maybe those two round bumps on the side might help narrow it down? Maybe they're the original attachment point for the strap? Also that flared piece above the nose doesn't seems like it's original to the base goggles, might be some kydex added.

Of course, these are all just guesses.
