Robocop Statue in Detroit

As a former Metro-Detroiter who worked downtown, I think it's an odd idea. Since it looks like it's going to happen, here are my suggestions for a spot (based on foot traffic as mentioned by outlander):

Campus Martius
Greektown
Comerica/Ford Field area

There are already a ton of statues up and down Jefferson, so that's a no-go in my opinion.

But there are starry-eyed country kids like me who are drawn to the "glamour" of violence and decay. As a country bumpkin Vermonter, I was determined to move to Detroit after high school, because that's where Robocop was from. No joke. So...there might be an odd "young and hip tourism" possibility here. But it'll take more than one little statue. And I know that capitalizing on a bad image is childish at best, dangerous at worst.

also, i stand corrected. metropolis, illinois has a superman statue

Salem MA has a Bewitched statue.

Oh and I believe Vulcan, Alberta has a tribute to Spock (although I think it is only a bust and not a full staute).

Instead of getting a sculptor to sculpt his face they could just use a cast of his face.
