Hi to all.:thumbsup
I am proud to say, I have just finished my First Sculpted bust
and wanted to Show you guy's all the work I have put in to him over the past 6 months..
I Started out by sculpting the Silicone Face by using Image's
From the 1987 Film and Measurement's from A Peter Weller cast I have.
I used a plaster Mould for casting the GEL 10 silicone Face
and used Flocking & Flesh Pigment to get A realistic Skin effect.
I then set out to Sculpt the rear of the head which took me along time as I Was using Klean Klay..:behave
This is a very good clay but was hard to get solid lines with,
Next time I will use chavant as I have used it before..
The main head was moulded with a Silicone poor mould
and I used around 8kg's worth..:eek
I didn't fancy using the brush-on method as Klean klay was too soft and he
had to many under-cuts, So this was my best option.
I made the jaw,Neck-tubes & side vents separate as it looked much better to
have them fit to the main head.
I used stainless steel bolt's, aluminium for the Frame-Work & Base,
also Rear Sockets for his Connectors.
I used Silicone airbrush Work on his face & Auto Air-color paints for his rear section.
I also finished this off using automotive Clear coat to protect the Finish.
I added Oil and Damage effects to him to match the end scenes of the Film.
I did take pictures of the Clean version before doing this as it looks good also.
I have also fitted a voice Module that can say up to 40's of any recorded sound you want him to say and is motion activated.
I'm Looking forward to making more Sculptures this year and Would Love to hear your Comments on This Bust
as I'm pretty new to Sculpting as I normally make large Props & Models..
Some of the artist's on here are Very Talented and would love to hear
Your feedback on ways to improve my sculpting & airbrush Work..
Many Thanks
