RoboCop Gun Caliber Question

What was the caliber on his gun? I was cleaning up some of my old junk and I came across which appears to be one of my first props. When Robocop 2 was filming in Houston my friends mom was dating one of the crew after one of the sequences of Robo shooting his side arm he went out and pick up some of the spent shells from the shot and I was wondering if I had few rounds or rounds from another gun either way they are one of my first props..lol

They say PMC 223 Rem

If what you have looks like this:

Then thats rifle ammo. The Robocop sidearm was a 9mm Beretta.

Yes, correct, modified 9mm Parabellum Beretta....perhaps a 93R originally with the automatic capability of fire.

Robo's Auto-9 was a modified Beretta m93R; fully automatic had been disabled and it was permanently locked into three-round burst.

Oh, it was rifle amo from the scene by the way not Robo's gun. Since I was a kid at the time I remeber being shocked when a prop master brought the gun to him so he could shoot and not knowing how things worked then I was saying hay I thought his leg opens to hold his gun..LOL!!

Its more likely that what you got was a spent round from a bad guy's gun.
