Robocop 1987 armor questions

Hi, I'm working on some Robocop armor. I plan to sculpt it, mold it and cast it in plastic. But, what do I sculpt it in? I was thinking water-based clay, but if I use that what brand should I use?
Anyone know what kind of clay this is?

This method of making armor is all very new to me and some help would very much be appreciated.

cool , never made it from mold or something like that before. cuz is to expensive in my country , i'm using evafoam and that detail look so basicaly and easy to craft using foam

Water clay (the grey stuff from the art store) will work fine as long as you keep it wrapped when not working on it. W.E.D. clay is the same thing with mineral oit added to slow drying. These clays are cheaper, but will dry out if not handled properly.

Next on the price list comes the oil clays. They are pricier but will not harden or crack like water clays will.

Yeah, I've done a few things with that method. Just trying this method for a project or two.

Alright, great! Thank you very much for the help!!!

Are you planning on molding a bunch and making them available for sale?
