Hi everyone!!!! Not really much to report but I finally got my timberlands in today (and I gotta go pick up my rope ascender from the post officer today xD) however! Boots fit awesome! A bit loose but had to put some mink oil on them to revitalize the leather. So just a note to whoever gets them in the future, lotion that leather! Its still going to need another coat of some saddle soap or other conditioners but still! I will throw some pictures of the ascender in person tonight

I got the adze to the axe last night pinder91 and it was a total pain in the ass to get in forewarning. both the hammer and the blade must be removed then aligned back up in a tight fit and omg, getting the adze in no issue! getting that blade in took me to use a hammer which makes the axe have some use on it so I guess I can't complain but still!!!!!! This winter for ****s and giggles I may take it to some ice and get some more weathering on it. (I also need to cast it still ugh so much to do still!)

This weekend i'll try engraving the C Division. I think i'll try your method with the sanding and try to engrave it!

That's good news. I think I'll order up my adze tonight. I also finally went to B&N and picked up the journal. I'm planning to cut a stamp out of some scrap wood or plastic and just emboss the C.

pinder91 good luck on getting the adze in there it was a tough one! The blade part of the axe took a little damage like I said. Im not sure how noticeable it is in the photo but in person you can see it very much! Getting it back into the axe wasnt the issue. Aligning it together was the mega pain! I was worried on ruining the threads of the screws at one point luckily after some hammering I got it all back in there. I guess it gives it a more used look huh?

Today before work I got my timberlands all mink oiled up and trying to revitalize the leather (it was in not the best shape when I got them)
got my olive color pants, I am torn on which pair to weather the olive or the tannish olive(brownish olive tone?) ones. I think I will do the more brown ones due to in game accuracy and leave the green olive ones nice. But who knows. I'll take a photo of those ones after I get them and see if yall can help!


As in the photos above, I picked up my rope ascender. It is AWESOME! The only thing Im a bit disappointed about is that it looks orange instead of the red that it looked like on the website. But I figured Im going to use a black or silver carbine and just attach it to the holster so I dont think many will notice! But MAN is it fun to play with! Just in case no one wants to look above its a RollNlock rope ascender and pulley think I paid about $70 for it (expensive I know but I plan to use it later in life ) It is super smooth and I think out of the dozens of ascenders I looked at it looks the closes to Lara's in game. Just a major size difference but I guess in real life an ascender wouldn't be that big? Not sure. May have the clash of what is legitimately real and what is just in video games is this piece.



Ah! Talked to the awesome Unchartedleather today and man he is a sweetie! For one Uncharted thank you for giving me the honor on following this thread That is super cool you found me on here. Anyways, he let me know the holster should be shipped next wednesday! So that is exciting. He gave me a progress photo today which was very nice of him.

Poor guy is a trooper! Since at first I forgot to mention I was left handed (I plan to use this later with my ccw so I needed it for my dominate hand) and so it made the holster delayed. I appreciate him working with me though still! I can tell the leather is very nice just from the photo though which is fantastic! Even in the dark leather as I asked him to do which is even better! I think the amount of detail on it thus far is absolutely amazing. I definitely will recommend Uncharted after this project may even have him do something later on for me Great guy.

Oh! Just to also put on here (i'll probably post this in the paper prop thread as well) I'm working with division 6 on making the journal as legit as possible. I have already talked to people who are natively (The Japanese friend and german friend live in their countries as well) from China, Japan and Germany (trying to get ahold of the russian asap) who will translate the entries as accurate to their ability. Once I have those I will post them on here and make it public. This weekend I will do what I can on my own personal journal. I hope it goes well!

Thats really all the updates I have at the moment... I once more appreciate everyones feed back and can't wait to ACTUALLY get this stuff all together. Don't want to disappoint anyone or myself for that fact!

Just got messages from my chinese and japanese friend They have begun translating those entries into traditional old school style text. Should hopefully get them back within the next week possibly will post them asap.

Oh Division 6 I talked with my buds and they are going to do their absolute best to get it as close as they can getting the wording and kanji close 300 CE as they can as some of it has been lost or just not taught anymore but they are going to put as much old school kanji as they can.

Oh those pants...Lara's pants were the bane of many cosplayers existence' last year with trying to figure out the colour. Since it seemed to 'change' depending on the lighting, it was hard to pin-point the actual colour. Thankfully, that meant cosplayers could get away with green, tan, or brown at various levels and got away with it. (I went for a tan myself and then distressed the heck out of it.) Speaking of, let me know if you need any pointers/help with distressing. I can give you some tips on what I did (it was really easy).

That holster is beautiful! Makes me want to update mine (I made mine before proper photos had come out).

Can't wait to see more progress!

Lady Nerd! Thank you so much for the compliment! I actually used your thread to look up some of these things. I got a paid of olive green and olive tan looking ones I'm trying to be as detailed as possible! Feel free to use anything on here and let me know if you need websites and stuff for the items I have but I'm sure you know what you're doing
I'm thinking about in the future snagging a compound hybrid off eBay and painting it like the one from the game since from what I saw from the promo that is what she uses.
Haven't gotten any translations yet will post them as soon as I do!

Ah I forgot my other update is my other pair of pants came in. They still are an olive shade however they have a more brown/tan tint to them which I dig. Since after replaying the game and looking at the images produced I think her pants were olive but due to weathering turned a brown olive look.. but I just gonna distress the hell out of these so hopefully that will cause them to brown up some more, any tips?
one thing that made me a bit angry was I didnt see the zipper on the pock when I bought them... ugh but I think overall they will be nice for tearing apart.

Here is the other photo I took of them. It's weird on the camera they look the brown I want but in person they look more green. I'll see how they are in different lighting (like outside maybe they'll match to what the camera shows)

On the coloring.
Like everything else it will change depending on lighting and weather it's dry or wet.
Originally I thought the quiver strap was green but it was wet in the pix I was looking at, when it's dry it looks tan.

I have a shirt that indoors looks yellowy tan but in direct sun light looks khaki green.

Oh yeah the coloring is infuriating but I guess like you said light changes everything! I'll just distress these and see where it goes I'd hate to have to buy another pair but my pickyness may get the best of me on this one.

Just picked up some more items!
Looking through some old threads I noticed that the Fox Outdoor tactical mag pouch is what people were saying that was what was in the game (or very similar) so I got one of those ( Link)

Then I grabbed the other ammo pouch and some rope similar
The Rothco General Canvas Utility pouch and Rothco general purpose utility rope 3/8" 50 feet


I found both of these on ebay for a great price
That will complete the utility belt besides the grenade


I think I may try to work on finding some accurate looking tanks or the lighter next on the purchasing department. Anyone know how to engrave a zippo?
Also, I'm still bugged about the pants but I think this weekend I'll dress up crofty if I go to the archery range and see if my friend can snap a photo and maybe get some opinion on them.

Too bad I can't take my real recurve with me to a convention. Haha!

Also, maybe some of you know some people on advice for resin casting. A lot of people have said it's expensive and blah blah but I'm having a hard time understanding why? I understand the price of time after you've casted the weapon you have to do some sanding, painting etc. Which doesn't bother me personally. I'm just worried about the silicone molding part. The resin itself is actually the least of my worries personally.
I do wish I knew someone near by who worked with this stuff before though. My friend who helped me make the quiver has a cousin who has done some of this kind of work so lets hope she can help! I've just for the most part have had bad experiences having other people make certain things so hopefully this will go well

So I'm replaying the game and realized something... I've been googling these pants all wrong. More than typical 'cargo' pants. They're more like tactical. Considering she has a mag/knife specific pouch on one of the sides...

I'm just not satified with the ones I have hahah but they will be my testers on getting this brown. I want to try dyeing the pants I have currently that have the olive color still and then throw a brown in there and see what I get. Any tips?
