I saw this on Reddit today, sad news for sure. I also found out that he was the first black soldier in Marine 1st Division in Vietnam to earn the rank of sergeant. Also 13 combat awards which included 2 Purple Hearts. No wonder why he was so good because he was the real deal folks!
