Not sure why, but I really love this part of the trailer. Scary stuff. I cant get this movie out of my head. I have barely thought about the Avengers since the trailer debuted, and that is saying something, because I am really looking forward to the Avengers. I need both movies NOW!. And get on with making Blade Runner! lol

The alien from the first movie looks like a deformed version of the Jockey suits. Almost looks like it took on characteristics of the suit as well as the wearer?

I cant wait to see this movie ,Scott always had a way to make detail and storyline fall into place ,so I am very interested to see this release,and maybe have a better understanding of just how this all began,as I have always been a Aliens fan......

I don't like the whole 'takes on the characteristics' thing they came up with later, but that alien came from Kane who never wore a jockey 'suit'.

I was thinking more along the lines that the aliens look like they do because their original origin was a fusion of the engineers and the bio suits and they took on the characteristics the one time only during their "creation" so to speak. I am ignoring any of the movies that come after Alien and the whole "takes on the characteristics of the host" thing.

What's wrong with ALIENS? Is it because the Aliens act more like insects than aliens? I seem to recall Ridley Scott comparing the birth cycle of the alien to that of a wasp. He's also said many times both in the Quadrilogy/Anthology documentaries and commentaries that the alien taking on the "characteristics of the host" was the whole bloody point. You're dissing ALIENS for reasons that Ridley Scott used when he was making ALIEN! If you want a good place to start discounting alien films, start with the massively retconed, redesigned and super convenient Alien3.
