Sorry for the late update. Fought off a nasty cold last week, so didn't get completed with all the molds. However, I did find a real world part for the dial on the safety that may not be 100% accurate, but is damn close. I only have four more parts to cast and I'm working on those today.

Another decision I've made is to have the barrel printed off individually from an SLA printer. This will preserve the holes in the barrel without doing a tricky (and finicky) mold. I've received some of the test prints and there will be no difference in quality from the cast parts out of molds.

Happy to hear about all the improvements, but what's the ETA on resin kits?

Casting a test set this week, and if it all looks good, I'll be taking final payments and start shipping later this week!

I will be posting up sneak peek pictures of the test casts tonight or tomorrow. I am waiting for the first printed barrel to get to me to quality check it. I anticipate asking for final payments by Friday or Saturday.

As promised, here is a picture of some of the test pulls from some of the molds. I will be using a different resin then what was used here (Onyx 300), so that the resin doesn't cure to fast which will result in lost detail. Buying the resin tomorrow and prepping for production!

Charlie are you saying you're picking up resin or ordering it to be shipped to you? Are you going to be casting this weekend?

Quick update: I still haven't received the barrel to the gun. I received a tracking number and should have it by Wednesday. I'm ready to go on my end, assuming the barrel checks out. Once I give the okay on the barrel, I'll update the main front page with information and start sending out PMs for payment.

Alright, barrel received! Looks good and looks like we're a go! Going to pick up resin tomorrow, and start casting over the next couple of days to get these kits out. I've had to make a decision on some of the cast parts for the blaster. Some of the parts are too brittle because they are casting two thin. As a result they snap easy and I'm afraid they will break once you try to assemble the blaster with the screws. Instead, I am going to replace these pieces with finished 3D printed pieces. They are stronger and require little to no work when assembling. Here's an image of one of the finished parts.



Since I was advertising resin kits, I wanted to let you all know. The breakdown will be about 50% resin, 50% finished 3D parts. Please send me a PM if this is an issue.

Happy to announce that the run is FINALLY open. I have added an image of the final kit to the front page and will be working furiously to get these out of the next couple of weeks. Huge thanks again to everyone for being patient while I worked out the numerous problems getting this run off the ground.

I am currently working at a rate of 2 to 3 kits a week and updating the first post as I send them out.

Got it almost to where I want it to be....but only so many hours in the day to work on it and headed to Megacon tomorrow. Wife is happy...and that's what matters. Spent about an hour total painting this between it drying and such. I would have liked to have wet sanded and polished before the chrome coat. But even so it came out really nice. Kit goes together pretty easy though.

The individual who has been supplying the barrels for these hasn't been reliable. I have reached out to another printer to get these sourced. If this goes through, I should have all remaining kits done and shipped to you all or for completion by the end of next week.
