It started out as as an old beater, but underwent a very thorough restoration to end up as its seen here. I'll spare the details, but here is the (mostly) finished product:

Very nice. Just for show, or do you drive it around? Ever get stopped?

At first it was just for show, I candidly was concerned that I would get problems with the police for driving it. I can now say that I have put 18,000 miles on it since I first built it in June of this year! The car has been an absolute blast, but you have to be prepared for the attention... literally at every fuel stop, traffic light, anywhere in general people stop to talk about it and take photos. I have been approached by probably a dozen police, all of whom wanted to take photo of it, show me their zombie tattoos, or generally just talk about it. I am sure its easily been photographed over 1000 times this summer.

Amazingly, never once pulled over. I have had people nearly run off the road trying to video record it while driving down the highway, but that's been about the worst of it. Ultimately I have several nice cars and motorcycles, but I have more fun with this than any of them so I plan on keeping the miles racking up! At least until I finish my next auto project lol.

Update! While on the side of the freeway changing a spare tire, apparently some concerned passerby called 911 to report a man on the roadway with a machine gun. Needless to say multiple officers swarmed in to confront me and my tire iron. End result? Several of the State Troopers were all Resident Evil fans and ended up asking if they could pose for pictures with the car and even helped me change the tire. #truestory.
