Replica Rock Album Cover Costumes

So what do YOU think would be a "cool" costume that would be instantly recognizable amongst geeks and peers? Some icon or image stolen from the cover of an album cover (they used to be called records).

I was thinking this guy.. from Quiet Riot's debut.

This would be a little more obscure (great album though) but hard to see

I'd go with Quiet Riot. Not only is it more recognizable, but you'd be able to see way better, as you stated.

To me, it really just looks like someone wore their leather biker jacket backwards on the album cover. That mask would be easy with some foam board, possibly coated with aluminum foil (dull side up, then distressed.)

Anything Iron Maiden would be pretty cool to see - I have always wanted to see some Megadeath 'Vic' costumes.
That Quiet Riot one looks to be a GREAT choice for Halloween - go for it!

Get you some forks, a bandage and a Rudolph Schenker mustache and you are golden.

I did the Quiet Riot costume back in the 90s when I was in high school (First metal shop project) the shop teacher actually bought the mask off of me after halloween that year (93 I think)

I would go with Quiet Riot, the whole forks in the eyes thing throws up a couple red flags for me.

I wanted to see YOUR album covers and ideas... not thoughts about what I picked, I was expecting Maiden... Megadeth...Blink 182

I've thought about doing the "faceless Floyd salesman" on the back cover of Wish You Were Here.

The final touch to "sell" costumes like these is to have one of the songs playing on your phone as a mental prod to people who know they've seen it before but don't remember where.

Not a cover, but definitely a recognizable symbol.

Not sure how you could even go about making this into a costume that wasn't huge and cumbersome, because going as just a naked guy probably wouldn't be well-received.
