Repairing FX sabers' battery and speaker

I've got an old FX Vader lightsaber that I had replaced because it had a broken hilt. I want to fix it up so my nephew can play with it. I lost the info someone posted awhile back about how to rig up a new battery holder and speaker for the FX sabers. Does anyone have that stuff saved?

The only tutorial I remember was the one for taking it completely apart and removing the blade.

What I'm referring to was posted here and involved using parts you could get at Radioshack. When you had a problem with an FX saber they would usually just have you send the end cap and battery holder back. Someone told how you could make a new battery pack and install a speaker. That is if your blade still worked.

Which model is it? ANH first 2003, ANH 2007, ESB 2005?

I think it was the first ANH Vader with LEDs. It had a cracked hilt, but the rest works.

Well, if its the first version Vader ANH it will take 6 AA batteries while the new versions take 3 AA batteries.

If it is the 6 battery version, send me a PM with your shipping info and I will mail you a new battery pack. Do you need a end cap too?
