Removing vac metallizing?

Hello,
I have a 3PO head that I want to remove the metallizing from. I think the head is made of fiberglass. Is there a way to go about doing this without causing damage?

Easy Off oven cleaning spray is what modelers have used on styrene part. I've also read brake fluid and Coca-Cola.

If the piece went to a chrome shop for plating, I don't know if this method would work.

Thank you for the tips. It has been done in a chrom shop I believe. I'll give it a go.

IF it was done at a chrome shop, you might have to take it to one to reverse the process, something to do with the acids and electrical process.
