Removing Paint from Resin....

Hey all, I wanted to see what anyone might recommend to remove paint from a polyurethane resin helmet. We grabbed a royal guard bucket and need to strip it down but the resin even though durable is kinda thin so we'd rather not do alot of sanding on it. But we didn't want to just put thinner or anything like that on there without asking about it first. Thanks for the help.

I've stripped resin with lacquer thinner with no ill effects. It'll take off Bondo and other fillers, but resin and epoxy are unaffected. Workes great on fiberglass too.

You can use brake fluid.

Put it in a plastic bag or something, ad brake fluid and let it stand for roundabout 24 hours. After that you should be able to brush of the paint.

This does not work with any break fluid and you might have to repeat it
also must be any surface you want to strip of be covered with break fluid.

I forgot,

you can use also Airbrush Cleaner.

But same problem: color/cleaner combination.

Revell cleaner works good for me, but that's my personal experience.
