Removing dried-out spilled yellow part of resin off rtv molds?

So, without noticing, some of the resin yellow part was spilled over my RTV molds. When this dries-up, it sticks to the RTV, and the only way to remove it is by ripping it out, along with a chuncks of the RTV attached to it. I do try picking it out, but I can only do so much. Is there a way to disolve it out without ruining my molds?

Sometimes when I have had problems with non curing parts, I'd pour a small amount of resin mixed perfect from a new batch and let that adhere to the crappy parts, and it usually cleans up well. MIght work here too?

If it's sticking to the RTV that hard, the rubber has gone bad. Or you have a really bad batch of resin.

It shouldn't stick at all.

I use packing tape to clean my molds.
Stick it onto whatever remnants are there and peel off...it usually cleans them real easy.

How about using acetone? Just a thought.

acetone should work, but is pretty bad for the mold, try using 99% alcohol (or 91% if you can't find the 99) first, just pour it into the mold, and use something like a cheap chip brush to gently scrub out the dried resin. Then if that doesn't work, give acetone a shot, but like someone said above, nothing should really stick to rtv, except rtv so your molds might be beyond saving

I try the acetone, but I already tried the goof-off remover and no luck. I getting ready to mold again. We will see how the former goes.
