Dune Part 2 Water of Life decanter

Another last resort contender could be this but the neck is too wide to fit the metal spout View attachment 1826790

Pretty sure you found it.....

That decorative ridge at the base of the neck matches exactly.

The metallic applique from base to neck covers a gap where the two do not perfectly curve match but that would be, of course, covered and not seen. So evven if this were not the original bottle, it would match after applying the decoration. The only question would be dimensions as compared to screen.

Have you looked at any of these? I’m not sure if they are too big in the main portions or not, but I thought I’d give you links to check them out.

You would also need to cut the necks down on any of these:

Yes all absolutely could work! They just have slightly different shapes and variations compared to the screen used prop. All I can think is it had to have been made specifically for the movie because I have spent hours and hours looking.

Hey guys, I just stumbled upon this thread. I'm happy to read that you liked the vial, I was the 3D concept artist who designed it for the movie :)
You're right, the vial itself was a "found" object, which we 3D scanned. After that I modeled the 3D parts on top of that. The parts were 3D printed, then based on that a cast was made and the final parts were cast in bronze.
Here's the 2D concept drawing I recieved, my 3D previews and a photo of the bronze pieces.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing. I’m glad you found the thread. Without a doubt my favorite prop in the movie. I spent hours trying to find a vial that was as close as possible. Wasn’t happy with the findings so I never did continue trying to make a replica. How was the vial made anyway?
