Hi everyone! I'd like to share my first sculpt, TFA's Red Skull, I'll keep uploading pics with the progress! These ones are from the 2 first days of sculpting. In about two weeks it'll be finished!
I'd be wonderful all kind of ideas, help, or questions
Enjoy!
very very smart of you to reference older men anatomy and bone structure, just going off film stills and prop pics leaves you a little short on the process that they followed when creating the sculpt originally
so I'd say your a few moves ahead on this one
can't wait to see the end result!
only suggestion is to keep the details and depths shallow, remembering that your adding details and depths where you want the sculpt to catch light more than normal giving the illusions of gaunt, couple that with accents and darker tones in your paint up and you'll be as good or better than the original
Thanks!! I'm not only using the old man as an example but bone structure, human muscle from the head examples... I have a lot of material not only the picture you uploaded as reference so I can have a better guide to understand were and what I'm sculping from the original guy who I did the lifecast.
The idea was to do the original one from the movie, but understanding were it came from and studying the whole bone and muscle process, and these days I'm focusing on that part, as you can see in the last pictures. Its my first makeup so I'm trying to learn during the process as much as I can, today I started the ears (at least the left one) and improving the muscle details from mouth and cheek.
Thanks for the help, I'm open to new advices or ideas again, enjoy the rest of the process!
Day 6! Today I've been adding some textures, I decided to do a few things apart from the film pictures, what do you think? Any ideas would be great!
Enjoy!
Hi everyone! I have a lot of news from the last days, sorry for not uploading pictures, today I'm bringing pics from the final sculpt I did and the first foam latex attempt attempt, which ended a bit bad. Tomorrow the second one, lets see if I have better luck, and friday the final makeup! I just can't wait to see how it looks finished!
Enjoy!!
Hi! I finally have the all the pictures, as you can see, the final foam latex mask, the painted mask, applying it, and the final pictures! What do you think? I really hope you enjoy it, thanks for the comments!
Regards!
Thanks! Actually we thought on something like that, unfortunately, the make up took me a lot of time to aply, if not, the idea was to go into one store or something and take a few pictures of "red skull" buying a dvd from captain america tfa , the idea was from the guy behind the make up and it was really fun, but we ran out of time... maybe next time! Thanks for the comment, enjoy!
