Red Riding Hood....is terrible!

I've watched a lot of werewolf movies over the years. There really aren't many I haven't seen. This film fails to utilise that rich cinematic history and fails to capture the spirit of a dark fairytale. How could they get it so wrong? Did the Director and Producers watch 'The Company of Wolves' before they made this? I doubt it. If they had, they would have seen the amazing mood this kind of re imagined fairytale can deliver, if executed properly.

As it is, this film might be OK for 10 year olds, but it isn't worth watching for any sensible horror film fan.

Shallow, soulless teeny pop bubblegum plus a dodgy looking CGI werewolf = fail

I shouldn't have expected anything better from the Director of the equally dreadful 'Twilight'.:thumbsdown

Well, it was directed by the lady that directed Twilight.

It could have been good if the had a better wolf and didn't have that weird dance scene in the middle.

I'm glad someone brings it up. I hate director so much and the thing that annoys me most is almost every girl try to protect the director! WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

This is going to make an awesome Rifftrax, just like Twilight. You gents are doing it all wrong trying to watch it without the soothing voices of Mike Nelson and co.

this sucks big time!!!!!! i have been waiting years for someone to make this fairy tale into a cool film......

There Is one titled 'red' starring Felicia day (or however you spell it). I didn't care for it, but it may be just what you're looking for.

Tim Burton should have done this, then it would have had the right feel to it, and probably R rated 'coz a werewolf movie needs an edge to it... For a PG 13 film, I think only 'Cursed' had a nice menace to it. If you guys have not seen this old classic, I suggest you find "Curse of the Werewolf" starring Oliver Reed - one of the best for background story & depth of character I've seen in a werewolf film...

I may check it out anyway, just to see how it is for myself. That's providing that I don't hear anymore bad reviews on it lol...

This is one film where I agree, Burton might have done a great job. He's very good at creating moods. A sleepyhollowesque vibe would have worked well with this tale.

Burton, plus a complete reimagining, a complete rewrite and a new cast. And a new production crew.

I'd buy that for a dollar.

I despise the Twlight movies/novels and I despise this genre of werewolf movies. I knew it was a turd just by the previews. Team Red Riding Hood or Team Big Bad Wolf.

lol, I got dragged by my GF to see it. I tend to really tear movies a part, specially ones like this, but overall it was ok. I didn't know it was the same director of Twi-tard but did make SEVERAL comments to my GF during it about the main guy characters having the same hair and looks as the guys from Twilight. I LOVED the fact that the one kid who was supposed to be the town's blacksmith had nice clean girly hands... :lol I actually laughed out loud at that. Guess I should have figured it out since 75% of the audience that night were 15 y/o girls. The rock music was annoying, the CGI/soap snow was hilarious, and I guess the characters just don't mind the cold. :rolleyes I totally didn't know Gary Oldman was in it!

The only positive thing out of the whole movie was the main chick, she was pretty hot and worth the time sitting there.

But yeah, wait to rent it.

I read he was in the front running to either play the main glittery vampire. Also that the main shirtless werewolf(err shapeshifter) was in the running to play that character. Talk about working with a core group of people...

she shouldn't be allowed to direct ever again after being connect to twilight.

She did direct Thirteen and Lords of Dogtown, granted though that was years before twilight and this recent turd fest.
