Hi all, this is my first post so if its in the wrong location please do alert me, as this one seemed most relevant.
So Im going to manchester comic con next month and im going as Jason Todd's red hood, but the thing is...I've never read/watched anything to do with him, and I want to act the character to a degree.
All I want to know is what he is like such as: Body stance, Speech patterns (profanities, whether he talks alot or a little) and lastly paralingustics/ body language.
Also, does anyone know of ways to store things without breaking the costume too much, I dont want to walk around with a backpack all day because I dont think it suits the character
Thanks in advance

For reference, watch Batman: Under the Red Hood. Buy or rent it via iTunes and sit back and enjoy for a couple of hours. Great voice acting, dark story line, and you will see exactly what type of three-dimensional person Jason Todd/Red Hood is. You'll get plenty of ideas for speech patterns and body language.

As for storage: I suppose it depends on what kind of stuff we are talking about, and whether you are going as New 52 Red Hood, or pre-New 52. If we are just talking about small stuff, either version has the jacket, and most jackets have inside and outside pockets that will be useful. Pre-New 52 has a couple different costume versions, some of which include regular pants or cargo pants (both of which come with pockets).

If you are thinking more in terms of a bag to carry around, you could go with a small, dark-colored duffle bag. Perhaps just distress it a little bit if it is newer. That would look far more accurate than a backpack, without breaking the appearance and still serving your function purpose.

one idea i've had for carrying items around in my red hood costume is to convert a fairly large art tube into a LAW rocket launcher. that way, it still functions as a storage device while adding another layer of weaponry to the costume. That, on top of the cargo pants i use for the costume will allow for a fair amount of storage.

For the speech pattern/bodylanguage, watch supernatural and pay attention to the character Dean. His actor, Jensen Ackles, is the voice actor for Jason Todd in the animated film, and shares the same speech pattern, and to an extent the body language as well.

Do you have any images of your suit? i'd love to see it!

Have'nt got any images yet, but as soon as I do ill upload them.
That idea about the rocket launcher was brilliant by the way

Jason Todd is angry, kinda broody, new 52 has him trained by the League of Assassins, not profane but prone to smartassery.
If you have the chance go watch "Under the Red Hood" it's on netflix, and that will give you a good idea of who he is.
