Red Dwarf Props - what's out there?

It definitely says 'RIMMER' on the reworked badge. Also, are we sure that it isn't a blue fabric weave on the reworked badge?

I didn't even realize that Aubrey Morris was in that. I'll always remember him as Mr. Deltoid in Clockwork Orange.

Cool. Origin of the badge solved then? Hehe.

Probably wasn't any kind of holographic material that was used for the original?

Grabbed a couple of shots of the badge from Series 3, both under indoor and outdoor lighting. Definitely some kind of reflective material and seems to have some kind of vertical pattern on it.

Just got this in from RS Props. Great to have him back in the collection.

Now to try to sort out paint, eye inserts and glass eyes. :thumbsup

Very nice cast. :thumbsup

Is it just me or does he look fat? Maybe it's the angle.

The angle doesn't do him justice, admittedly. That said, I think old Krytie has put on a little weight during the molding progess. I've assuming they had to fill the latex mask before molding, and it seems to have widened the neck a bit (there's also a very slight bulge on the top of the head - though you wouldn't notice it unless you've owned the original). Guess this will just have to be a Season X Kryten. :lol

Oh, and anyone any idea on the image used on the map?

I'm a little sad that this didn't figure more in the story - I got excited when I saw it and thought it was going to be a prominent prop.

Anyone got any idea what these flashing lights are?
They used quite a few, so wondered if they were a mass produced item. Can't find anything similar yet though.

Which is funny because my production cast isn't fat at all. Looks remarkably like an earlier likeness. I guess when it's on the actor it looks different.

I still have to ask about molding mine without messing up the autographs on the original...

No idea what the flashers are but the shear number of Rolson flexi snake lights in that shot is ridiculous.

I believe the flashing disc lights you are looking for is called a Powerflare.
It's a hockey puck sized disc with different flash patterns.

Hi guys. I have posted this question on another Red Dwarf thread but didn,t see that this one was so recently active. I am about to acquire what is left of The Holoship Enlightenment from The Propstore. I am a modeller of limited experiece, so rather than do damage to a piece of history I am exploring the possibility of having it restored. Any interested parties can check out the pics on the Propstore site to evaluate the size of the task and pm me if they wish..
