Red Dwarf Props - what's out there?

I even have the sevans model of Kryten lovingly sitting on my shelf with a few spare heads :) I do have the starbug playset too ..its a bit weak on the legs ..but a good little model
 
heres a fun bust me and a friend modelled up and I just got my shiny 3d printer and it had to be done :)
 
with all the straight edges to kryten you could probably build a 1:1 bust if you brake it down into single pieces with the right angles on each end

Yep... Eventually I'm going to do it but it's original and autographed by the entire cast & Doug Naylor so I don't want to mess it up.

It's latex so it won't last forever. I'd love to make resin busts of it.

but I need to get working on the full size inquisitor mask :)
 
i have a red dwarf pc terminal it is actually a judge dredd terminal but they used it in an episode of red dwarf cant remember which one :)

There's a Starbug Playset out at the moment which I thought might make a good base for a studio scale display (ala the Kenner Power FX x-wing toy conversions) - anybody got one? If so, is it worth buying?

Hi all,

I'm relatively new here, I've been a member for a while but have only had the chance to spend much time on here.

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any busts of Kryton that are available or alternatively are there any lifesize pepakura paper models of Krytons head floating around as I have always wanted to have a bash at making a prop & maybe that would be a good place to start since he has a nice square blocky head :)

Anyway any input that anyone has would be most appreciated.

I've got a production made bust that I'm hoping to cast this summer. But don't let that discourage you, there's plenty of room for lots of options!
 
Have you read through all of this thread Womble68? On page 6 there are photos of the production made (series 7 or 8 - a different mask from Michael's) Kryten mask which has been molded and cast in fibreglass. I have one of the fibreglass casts, but still need to figure out the best way to fill in the huge eye holes and sculpt in some proper human eyes. And there is also a 1:1 Kryten pep head file floating around somewhere here on the RPF - use the search function and have a dig. :thumbsup
 
Thanks Howlrunner, I missed that post :) I read though so many threads about red dwarf props but for some reason I missed that one. It'll be interesting to see the heads when they perfect them & decide to release some.
 
Just started watching this and am itching to make the cat priests red hat with arrow from the God episode and a few other simple things as my experience is weak at best lol. Can't wait to watch more, only on season 2 so far!
