Been spending lots of time working on my backlog of props recently, getting them painted up. Here's the latest to finally get off the workbench:
Dr Doom helmet (Fantastic Four movie):
Acquired in a trade, I believe this was sculpted by Kylash327, but it didn't have any rivet details when I got it. I added the missing detailing using real copper rivets that I dremeled the heads off then superglued on, then sprayed it with Halfords Vauxhall Steel Grey Metallic paint.
Loki mask - The Mask:
This is a nice, thickly cast replica of the Loki mask from "The Mask" that I purchased from eBay. It's one of the nicest available as it also has the wood detailing on the inside of the mask (a lot of the replicas have a plain smooth inside). It arrived painted a single dark green shade all over so I repainted it completely to match a hero version of the mask that was sold by Profiles in History.
Kroenen helmet - Hellboy:
This is the helmet produced by JarvisB. Lenses were cut from 3mm dark tinted acrylic and I added the extra greeblies (those pieces not cast in the kit) to the sides using whatever looked right, based on photos of the Sideshow Kroenen ninja helmet.
Needs the leather neck flap (HOW I'm gonna do that I don't know yet) and leather straps (for around the back of the head) to finish it off.
T-800 Skull - Terminator
This is the vinyl recast kit, with new eye lenses (from RadioShack) added and sprayed with Halfords Acrylic Chrome.
I still need to make a base for it, add the neck wires/pistons and wire up the battery pack for the eyes.
The Cryptkeeper - Tales From The Crypt
This is the first (and probably last) latex mask I've ever painted (normally work on resin busts). Not a fan of latex, but I love the Cryptkeeper so much I HAD to have this. Sculpted by MMFX. Added acrylic dolls eyes (good quality ones!) and filled it with expanding foam. The hippie getup is only until my hair punching tool turns up and then I'll add his real hair and get rid of the '60s stuff.
