rebuilding prop guns . . .

About a year ago I bought THIS from ebay:

With little description beyond "A huge box of toy guns, some metal, some plastic, all in pieces."

I paid about $30, plus $20 for shipping.

I got 3 boxes worth of grips, grip frames, denix parts, MGC parts, P-38's, Lugars, 1911 replicas, mostly metal stuff. A couple of Daisy softair guns, some old light guns, basically a box of fun stuff to KIT BASH.

Then as I started to sort out the pieces I realized that many of the replicas were nearly all there. A couple of blank firing replicas revolvers just needed to be assembled, an about 10 metal replicas were about 60-80% there.

This is the first of them that I have had time to full assemble. We're talking from the screws and springs.

It's old, it's beat up, but it will fire PFC blanks.

Should I call Chow Yun Fat?

Here are some of the other guns that I assembled from the parts, in some cases, like the revolvers, I didn't have to. They were already together.

Once I get moved and resettled, I'll be bashing, I'll be building, and I'll be using them in films.

:D

If anyone has ny parts they think might work for some of these, and are willing to part with them, please contact me.

o_O Wow. What did you search to find that bad boy?

Man, I'd love to find something like that. Super find.

Any of those replica guns have hammers like those on the ROTJ E-11 Stormtrooper blaster?
See thread here:
http://www.therpf.com/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=hammers

They appear to be Smith&Wesson though they don't match any real hammers found so far.
My theory is that they were replica gun hammers so they may differ from real ones on the interior details.

The upside down gun in the top of the pic I quoted looks similar from what I see.

Nope, they look like the first hammer posted in that thread, not the ones mounted on the prop. Sorry.

"Lot guns"

Usually you get folks selling multiple airsoft guns, or multiple paint guns, but every now and then, you get something cool :)

Dude, yer out 50 clams... For that many guns, ain't bad... If you happen to have a majority of them pea shooters left, LMK, they look like fun projects to tackle and/or attempt...
