Great progress! How hot will it be wearing all that gear though? Can you fit a fan in the helmet?

Stellar job so far! I'm not clever enough to finish a helmet but would buy a Rebels Vader if mass-produced.

The rest of your costume looks spot-on, too!

Not as hot as i expected. The body suit has dryfit material under the chest armor, all of the back and butt. I don't think a fan will fit in the helmet though.

Some Updates:
painted the armor:

working on the belt boxes:

My 5mm green LEDs are too dim.

Using 2x AA (3V), wired in parallel. After a while, the 2nd green led just died. Not exactly sure what went wrong.

Chest box: Red coin slot LEDs light up in the correct Rebels sequence

Huge update!

the belt box lenses are larger than usual so i had to make them from scratch using material from a plastic envelope. Not perfect though. I'm also having a bit of a problem with the green leds i have being too dim with 3V.
