Hi guys, I've been working on this costume project for some years on and off, what with work and loss of interest it got mothed balled until a few months ago when I decided the hell with it, get my head into gear and get on with it! I wasn't planning on nothing major, but I have decided to try and make the head move aswell as the fans or mane on the hood part of the costume, and boy it wasn't easy! but I have finally managed to get working prototypes up and running for them, the eyes were the easiest bit, blue led's but the eye lenses are proving a bit more tricky to find or replicate, I thought of back lighting a couple of mini magnifying glasses with the led's for the eyes, if anyone can come up with a better idea it would be greatly appreciated. It's still a really rough work in progress, the ear angle is out so I'll have to re-position them at some stage, add an inch or two to the nose section of the head as it's a tad too short, oh loads of sanding, filling and detailing. I apologies for the poor picture quality and is some way off from being completed. In the photo's you can see the neck collar is cardboard as a base, heck it's free and endless in supply and is my way of building costumes. Once I'm happy with each part, it gets a resin coat then fibreglassed, filled and painted the same with all the costume build in effect. The hardest and most time consuming part is all the detail work on the hard parts, it's mundane, finger numbing, makes your brain scream in agony and your nerves want to go away on a long vacation. I'll post up pic's of the other parts when I'm happy with the results and their painted up. Updates will eventually follow, but again I'm not rushing this project as it's been literally years in the making, well on and off! hope you like, and all comments welcome.
The black lines you can see on the head are for reference to the angles while I'm re-doing parts of it. yeah it does look tacky, I know.
