Hope you get well! I just stumbled on your thread and will be sealing my suit soon. I had a similar idea of yours with the smoothon. I was thinking of trying the bartop material as well. I am curious if your sealed parts are still flexible today, or if they have become more rigid and brittle. Thanks and get well!
