R.I.P. Pee Wee Herman

...Also, I find this wonderful closure to Pee Wee's Big Adventure. For those that DON'T know the film (SPOILERS AHEAD), Pee Wee's beloved bicycle is stolen, and a fortune teller informs him he will find it in the basement at the Alamo. So Pee Wee has a wild trip out to Texas, tours the Alamo, only to be laughed at and derided when he's told "there's no basement at the Alamo!"

...but DECADES later, Pee Wee got his big chance!

Sadly, the Alamo Marketing Dept. did not think to get a replica of his bicycle to surprise him with, sitting in the basement.

RIP Pee Wee.

Hey I met that guy who gave Pee wee the tour to the basement! My first visit to the Alamo he happened to be the guide I asked about the basement & he told me about the video - He had some good stories - Nothing but nice things to say about PeeWee!

Was just reading that his character, Pee-wee has a star on the Hollywood walk of fame, but Paul himself does not. How odd is that.
I suppose at some point they could give him one, so he'd be a person that technically has two.
If that ever happens anyways.

Gone a year today. Ruebens was Jewish (Rubenfeld), so with it being the first anniversary of his death, the unveiling of his stone at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in LA might be today (or sometime this week).
