Quill Idea,budget Or Not Maybe !

Just an idea i had the other day, not sure if anyone has come across this yet, but my fiancee was using her brush the other day and when i looked at the shape of the brushes they look like quills, i was thinking of dipping them into latex and then paint them black ?

Think the hair brush idea has come up before. From experience would probably work on a display piece but for a mask that's to be worn, you may find they're not flexible enough? IMO.

try using feathers.......just tear off either side and your left with quills

I used the spines from a squoosh ball. They're soft and flexible.

Think I have seen something like this before - or maybe it was a rubber bristeled pasting brush...? Nice idea though,
