Quick V2 Question...

Sorry to ask another V2 question guys,but i just want to be correct about this.

On the rear of the pommel,is there a groove around the diameter at the back end? I got a V2 from Russ a few months back and this is one dimension that i have seen on other V2's but it isnt on mine.Was it on the original?
