Qui Gon Collectors Society Scaled lightsaber question:

Hey! I just bought this scaled Qui Gon from ebay, and, having temporarily put away my whole collection of .45 scale sabers, I can't compare this on to those. And the thing is...this thing looks bigger to me than I remmeber the other scaled sabers being. It also doesn't say .45 scale anywhere...just says "scaled replica".
Is this the same scale as the others, or did they do this one different for some reason? :confused
Am I just remmebering the size of the others wrong?
Any help would be appreciated. :cool

No worries, it's the same size. Here it is with my other Ep. I sabers

Cool! Thanks!
I'm glad they did this one before MR stopped doing the SW stuff.
It was the only one I was missing, but really wanted. :thumbsup

Me too. This saber was the one and only reason I joined the CS. It was the one saber that I needed to finish my collection.

Granted, I'm missing a few of the scaled sabers, but I don't need repeats if there weren't any significant changes to the design.

The full size MR QGJ is a bit larger than you might expect (both in width and length), and this is reflected in the .45. However it is in-keeping with the size of the other scaled sabers, and is scaled to .45 from the full scale version. It's bizarre how very small increments in size can make such a big difference sometimes.

Here's a pic of the full size MR next to a fan made version (the fan made is closer to the size of other sabers). The length difference can be seen here, the width difference is much more marked in person.

This pic also shows some of the differences that have been talked about - including the infamous pommel issues.
