Question from a noobie helmet/mask modeller

Hey all,

pretty much got a finished Star Lord helmet inc. LED light up eyes, however when i turn the LEDs on, i can't see out of them at all. Are there any filters or lenses that can combat this? or any easy/quick fix as i don't have much time until the general release of GotG2? I've seen other professionals figure it out and am just asking for that expertise for help.

Details with the following pictures, they are red filter plastic/acrylic lenses with a mesh texture (like the original) and a ring of LEDS on the inside. Just that.

Thanks in advance everybody :)

Blue acrylic lenses should negate the shine or at least dim it on your eyes, you'll still be able to see outward, too.

LED lights can be really dangerous for your eyes. Be really careful with this. When my friend Kevin and I built his Star-lord mask we added small pieces of PVC pipe. He actually looks through the pipe, and lights are installed around the perimeter.

Give me a second and I'll see if I can find the link....

Looking through a short piece of 3/4" pipe is kind of difficult, but it's better than having permanent damage from the LEDs

Well said,B.
That method,or try Xrobots' method where he used mesh:
